What will the Results Indicate?
The results of a routine DNA paternity or maternity test will indicate probability of parentage of either 0.00% or 99.9% on average. The results of a DNA kinship test will depend on the amount of DNA that is shared between the tested parties and the frequency of that shared DNA in the general population. These results vary from case to case.

How long do the results take?
A routine DNA paternity, maternity or kinship test will take 5-10 business days from the date of receipt of the last sample in our laboratory.

Are the results accepted by the Canadian government?
Orchid Cellmark's laboratory is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada which is a requirement of Citizenship & Immigration Canada.

How will the results be sent?
Results will be sent by mail to the Sponsor or his/her lawyer and to the local CIC office (if applicable) and by courier to the Canadian Embassy.
